വൃക്ഷായൂർവ്വേദ – നാഷണൽ സെമിനാർ

The One Day National Seminar on Vrikshayurveda titled “Vrikshabodhini” was conducted on 2nd
April 2026, as a part of auspicious occasion of VRIKSHAYURVEDA CERTIFICATE COURSE launch at
Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam Evum Vidyapeedam, Vavanoor, in association with Kerala Jaiva
Samrakshana Samithi. The programme began with lighting of the lamp followed by the Welcome
Address by Sri. Unnikrishnan Mangat and Presidential Address by Ashtavaidyan Alathiyoor
Narayanan Nambi. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Mala Kapadia, Director, Anaadi Centre for
Indigenous Knowledge Systems, Anaadi Foundation. The Course Launch was conducted by Dr.
Nagabhushanam G, followed by felicitations from Sri. Rajeev Kangath from Kerala Jaiva Samrakshana
Samithi and Dr. J. Thomas, Director of Research (Rtd), Spices Board and Former Rubber Production
Commissioner.
Scientific sessions were handled by eminent speakers including Prof. Mala Kapadia, P. G.
Krishnakumar, Dr. C. K. Peethambaran, Dr. Ajayan Sadanandan, and Dr. Pavithra Kandavel,
highlighting the importance of Vrikshayurveda in sustainable agriculture and global health. The
programme concluded with the valedictory session, certificate distribution, and visit to the
demonstration plot where participants planted vegetable plantlets. The seminar was informative
and successful, promoting practical awareness of Vrikshayurveda principles.
