Vision:

To empower students in understanding the Ayurvedic view of gynaecological and obstetrical conditions thoroughly and to make them excel in the health sector interventions and clinical practice. Every student after the vigorous training in the department should be able to confront the challenges happening in the health sector especially with the female population.

How we mould our students?

  • Lecture sessions: as per the CCIM guidelines
  • Practical sessions : as per the CCIM guidelines
  • Swadhyaya sessions: Guiding students to traverse through Samhithas with deep understanding.
  • Small Group Discussions: Aiding students deeper understanding of core subjects.
  • Clinical posting:For direct interaction with patients
  • Hospital duty:For hands on training in specialised treatment procedures.
  • Posting outside the campus:providing exposure to obstetrical cases and emergency care.

Social Activities:

The department is actively being engaged in social activities for the wellbeing of women. Imparting awareness on women health among the rural population have been always a goal. Various awareness classes, screening programmes, medical camps, school health programmes, public outreach programs via various social platforms, print medias and audio-visual channels are being conducted with the participation and active involvement of the students so that they will be exposed to different aspects of woman public health.
