SUMMARY:HOUSE SURGENCY
DESCRIPTION:HOUSE SURGENCY AT ASHTAMGAM\nIntroduction\nAshtamgam came forth with the intention to bring to life the uniqueness of Ayurveda in its essence. It has always been a main aim to help the young students chisel themselves into empathetic and skilled physicians who prioritize patient care to the rest. Such a rigorous training is appropriately done during the 1 year internship period. The result of such a training has been clearly reflected through the fact that Ashtamgam is the Ayurveda medical college with the most campus placement.\nThe students who are initiated into Internship are given an induction regarding the needs of establishing oneself as highly competent physicians. They are moulded into achieving this through the course of internship by various activities and through special postings for enhanced clinical training.\nThe following are some of the activities they are required to do as part of internship:\n1. Yoga vicharam- The very many single drugs as well as classical combinations are deeply analysed to help the students to understand not only how each medicine acts but also the conditions wherein these can be prescribed.\n2. Rogivicharam- Here a clinical picture is developedby presenting a patient’s condition and the possible treatments are discussed to help understand the range of symptoms in a disease condition.\n3. Rogavicharam- Here a disease condition is dissected and all areas of perspective are understood- from causes to symptoms\, investigations and treatment.\n4. Vaidya nirmithi- The internees are also provided with special classes by experts in Ayurveda as well as modern and paramedical fields to increase their clinical knowledge and to be aware of latest happenings in the medical field.\n5. Special posting- Provisions for Special postings are provided for the internee who have an interest towards any particular area. This is provided under the guidance of a few renowned Ayurveda physicians with years of expertise.\nSpecial posting is also provided in modern gynaecologicalas well as surgical departments.\nSpecial posting is also provided to study classical toxicological treatments at Pappinisseri hospital which is famous for its anti- venom measures.\nThey are also exposed to the proceedings at court level.\n6. The internees are given opportunities to not only be actively involved in medicine preparations\, but are also encouraged to develop new promising formula of their own.\n7. They are trained to be independent and take their own decisions all the while being guided by the faculties. \nINSTITUTIONAL CODE OF CONDUCT \n● All internees (except those who are posted in Dept. of Panchakarma) shall have to report at hospital every day at 8AM and have to mark the attendance by punching at the allotted machines. Those who are posted at Dept. of Panchakarma in the theatres shall report at 7.45 AM and mark attendance by punching\, and have to attend the everyday preparatory protocol conducted at the theatres. The official duty time ends at 5pm and the internees have to mark the exit from the duty also by punching.\n● All internees posted at the clinical departments shall thereafter proceed for preliminary rounds at the concerned rooms / wards and have to update the findings in the case sheets. The preliminary rounds shall have to be finished and the case sheets shall be properly updated and presented prior to consultant’s rounds.\n● The internee shall have to attend the consultant’s rounds\, precisely brief the developments happening in each patient and invite attention of the consultant to the specific needs of the patient.\n● The changes in procedures\, medications and other interventions\, prescribed laboratory procedures and other orders of consultants shall have to be meticulously brought into action\, by the internee\, in co-ordination with Resident Medical Officers.\n● Every intern shall have to maintain a Log Book of everyday works. Each and every work done by the internee shall have to be noted in the Log Book\, with date and time\, and have to be countersigned by the HoD / Assistant Professor every week. The completion from all departments will be given only on systematic presentation of Log Books and excuses will not be entertained under any circumstance. \n● All 365 days are working days for internees. But they can have a total of 20 authorized Casual Leaves\, which can be availed after taking advanced permission from concerned HoD. All leaves taken without permission from HoD will be considered as unauthorized absence and will invite extension of internship. A casual leave taken on Sunday with due permission from HoD will be considered as half day leave only.\n● Joining of the succeeding department will be allowed only after attaining completion certificate from the HoD of the preceding department. Lack of joining will invite extension.\n● At a time\, not more than 10% of total internees will be permitted for joining the rural postings. The House Surgeon’s Association shall conduct internal discussions among the members and suitably draft a roster for rural posting and have to submit the same to Principal\, through Faculty-in-Charge (FiC) for approval.\n● A Clinical Conference will be organized once in every week at the conference hall of the hospital. A Clinical Conference Organizing Committee (CCOC) will be formed with three internees and three faculty members\, which will oversee the smooth execution of the sessions. The CCOC will draft a duty roster for five internees at a time to develop a case and present it on the session. A Senior Faculty will chair the session and will be attended by other faculty members. The entire session will have to be documented\, changed into Word format and have to be published as a manual of clinical cases at the end of year.\n● There will be a session to explore Samhitaa (Samhitaaparaayanam) every week and a session to explore disease (Rogavicharam) every month. In addition\, there will be a weekly session to explore formulations with comparative clinical understanding (yoga vicharam). All the sessions shall have to be documented and kept as reference resource.\n● There will be rotational night and casualty duties\, the orders of which will be issued from time to time by medical superintendent.\n● In addition to the routine departmental activities\, other departmental\, hospital and college level activities will be allotted to internees by appropriate orders from institution\, all of which need to be meticulously carried out. \n● Meticulous clinical learning is expected from every internee. Clinical knowledge shall have to be gleaned through case based learning\, assisting the consultant on hand training of procedures and proper referring and learning the literature. For your assistance\, a library with clinical books will be set up in the hospital\, preferably in the House Surgeons’ Room and can be accessed for all clinical needs. \n● All the case sheets shall be mandatorily filled within the same day of admission\, failure of which may invite appropriate disciplinary actions from authorities. A case note book shall have to be maintained for each patient and have to be fully filled with details\, signed by the internee and countersigned and sealed by the consultant shall be provided to the patient at the time of discharge.\n● The internee of the concerned department has to coordinate the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) sessions of the department in association with the faculty members.\n● All the internees should mandatorily maintain a professional demeanour and attitude\, at all times\, when they are in the hospital campus. They have to wear clean clinical three fourth aprons\, with proper ID tags always in the hospitals and have to carry instruments like stethoscope\, clinical torch and watch with them. \n● The Gentlemen internees shall have to maintain their scalp hair and beard properly cut and dressed. Uncut hairs\, non-trimmed beards\, long pony tails and other inappropriate attitudes will not be allowed under any circumstance in the hospital. They have to wear clean shirts and pants with suitable foot wear. The lady internees have to keep their locks of hair properly put-up and have to dress up in appropriate work wears. Moderate ornamenting and modest dressing are always advisable. Altogether\, the base line rule is- An internee shall always be presentable and inappropriate ways will not be tolerated.\n● The Faculty-in-Charge of Internship Programme (FiC) will be the first point of supervision of the internship. He/she will report to DMS\, MS and Principal. All the submissions of the internees to DMS/ MS/ Principal shall be through the FiC. The FiC will be monitored and guided by an Internship Supervision Committee (ISC) constituted by Principal from time to time. The Principal will be the chairman of ISC. The ISC will act as an appellate body for the decisions taken by the FiC and HoDs. But the decisions of the Principal will be binding and final.\n● These rules are in force from the first day of internship itself. The internship starts on the day of reporting to the Principal through FiC\, after getting temporary registration from TC Medical Council and permission from KUHS. On receiving permission from Principal\, an internee can join the department after getting concurrence from DMS\, MS and HoD. On completion of the postings\, all completion certificates shall be presented for verification to MS and upon his recommendation will be forwarded to Principal for further action. Short title and commencement.—\n(1) These regulations may be called the Practitioners of Indian Medicine (Standards of Professional Conduct\, Etiquette and Code of Ethics) Regulations\, 1982. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.\n2. Definitions.— (1) In these regulations\, unless the context otherwise requires:— (a) “Act” means the Indian Medicine Central Council Act\, 1970 (48 of 1970); (b) “Form” means a form appended to these rules; (c) “Practitioner of Indian medicine” means the Physicians and Surgeons of Indian Medicine who are for the time being enrolled on any State Register of Indian Medicine and who possess any of the recognised medical qualifications; (d) “Section” means section of the Act.\n(2) Words and expressions used but not defined in; these regulations shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Act.\n3. Declaration. — Every practitioner of Indian Medicine shall\, within a period of 30 days from the date of commencement of these regulations\, and every practitioner of Indian medicine who gets himself registered after the commencement of these regulations shall\, within a period of 30 days from such registration\, make before the Registrar of the State Council or the Board\, a declaration in Form A and shall agree to abide by the same. \nPART II PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT AND ETIQUETTE DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OP PRACTITIONERS OF INDIAN MEDICINE TOWARDS PATIENTS AND PUBLIC\n4. Character of the Practitioners of Indian Medicine\n— The main object of the medical profession is to render service to humanity. Whosoever chooses this profession\, assumes the obligation to conduct himself in accordance with its ideals. A practitioner of Indian medicine shall be an upright man\, instructed in the art and science of healing. He shall keep himself pure in character and be diligent in caring for the sick. He shall be modest\, sober\, patient\, prompt to do his duty without anxiety and\, pious in all the actions of his life.\n5. Duties of practitioners of Indian medicine towards their patients.\n— (1) A practitioner of Indian medicine shall be ready to respond to the calls of the patients in emergencies for the sake of humanity and the noble traditions of the profession\, though he is not bound\, to treat each and every one asking his services. (2) He shall not permit considerations of religion\, nationality\, race\, caste\, creed\, party politics or social standing to intervene in his duties towards patients. 6. Practitioner’s responsibility—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall merit the confidence of patients entrusted to his care\, rendering to each a full measure of service and devotion and shall try continuously to improve his knowledge and skill. He shall make available to his patients and colleagues the benefits of his professional attainment. The honoured ideals of the medical profession imply that the responsibility of such practitioner shall extend not only to individuals but also to society.\n7. Patience\, delicacy and secrecy—\nPatience and delicacy shall characterise the practitioner of Indian medicine. Confidence concerning individuals or domestic life entrusted by patients to a practitioner of Indian medicine and defects in the disposition or character of patients observed during medical attendance shall never be revealed unless their revelation is required by law. Sometimes\, however\, a practitioner must determine whether his duties to society require him to employ knowledge obtained through confidences to him as such practitioner to protect a healthy person against a communicable disease to which he is about to be exposed. In such instances\, the practitioners of Indian medicine shall act as he would desire another to act towards one of his own family in like circumstances.\n8. Prognosis —\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall neither exaggerate nor minimise the gravity of a patient’s condition and shall assure himself that the patients\, his relatives or his responsible friends have such knowledge of the patient’s condition as will serve the best interests of the patient and the family. \n9. The patient must not be neglected—-\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall be free to choose whom he will serve. He shall\, however\, respond to any request for his assistance in any emergency or whenever temperate public opinion expect his services. Once having undertaken a case\, the practitioner of Indian Medicine shall not neglect the patient\, nor shall he withdraw from the case without giving notice to the patient\, his relatives or his responsible friends sufficiently in advance to allow them to secure another medical attendant. No provisionally or fully registered medical practitioner of Indian medicine shall wilfully commit an act of negligence that may deprive his patient or patients from necessary medical care.\n10. Upholding the honour of the profession—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall uphold the dignity and honour of his profession.\n11. Engagement for an obstetric case—\nIf a practitioner of Indian medicine agrees to attend a women during her confinement\, he must do so. Inability to do so on an excuse of any other engagement is not tenable except when he is already engaged on a similar or other serious case. When a practitioner\, who has been engaged to attend an obstetric case\, is absent and another is sent for and delivery accomplished\, the acting practitioner is entitled to his professional fees\, but shall secure the patient’s consent to resign on the arrival of the practitioner engaged earlier.\n12. Practitioner as a Citizen—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine as a good citizen\, possessed of special training\, shall advise concerning the health of the community wherein he dwells. He shall lend his support in enforcing the laws of the community and in sustaining in the institutions that advance the interests of humanity. He shall cooperate with the proper authorities in the administration of sanitary laws and regulations.\n13. Public Health—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine especially engaged in public health work\, shall enlighten the public concerning measures for the prevention of epidemics and communicable diseases. At all times\, the practitioner shall notify the constituted public health authorities of every case of communicable disease under his care\, in accordance with the laws\, rules and regulations of the health authorities. When an epidemic prevails\, he shall continue his labour without regard to the risk of his own health. \nPART III DUTY OF ONE PRACTITIONER TOWARDS ANOTHER PRACTITIONER\n14. Dependence of practitioners on each other— There is no rule that a practitioner of Indian medicine shall not charge another practitioner for his services\, but a practitioner shall cheerfully and without recompense give his professional services to another practitioner or his dependents if they are in the vicinity.\n15. Compensation for expenses—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall consider it a privilege to render gratuitous service to all practitioners and their immediate family dependents. When he is called from a distance to attend or advise another practitioner or his dependents\, reimbursement shall be made to him for travelling and other incidental expenses.\n16. Consultation to be encouraged—\nIn case of serious illness\, especially in doubtful or difficult conditions\, a practitioner may request consultation.\n17. Consultation for patients benefit—\nIn every consultation\, the benefit to the patient is of first importance. All practitioners interested in the case shall be candid with the patient\, a member of his family or responsible friend.\n18. Punctuality in consultation—\nUtmost punctuality shall be observed by a practitioner of Indian medicine in meeting for consultation.\n19. Conduct in consultation—\nIn consultations\, no insincerity\, rivalry or envy shall be indulged in. All due respect shall be observed towards the practitioners in charge of the case\, and no statement or remark be made\, which would impair the confidence reposed in him. For this purpose\, no discussion shall be carried on in the presence of the patient or his representatives.\n20. Statement to patient after consultation—\n(1) All statements of the case to the patient or his representatives shall take place in the presence of all the practitioners consulting\, except as otherwise agreed the announcement of the opinion to the patient or his relatives or friends shall rest with the practitioner initially attending on the patient. (2) Difference of opinion shall not be divulged unnecessarily but when there is an irreconcilable difference of opinion the circumstances shall be frankly and impartially explained to the patient or his relatives or friends. It would be open to them to seek further advice\, if they so desire.\n21. Treatment after consultation—\nNo decision shall restrain the attending practitioner of Indian medicine from making such subsequent variations in the treatment as any unexpected changes may require\, but at the next consultation\, reasons for the variations shall be stated. The same privilege\, with its obligations belongs to the consultant when sent for an emergency during the absence of attending practitioner of Indian medicine. The attending practitioner may prescribe at any time for the patient\, the consultant only in case of emergency. \n22. Visiting another practitioner’s cases—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine called to visit a patient who has recently been under the care of another practitioner in the same illness\, shall not take charge of\, nor prescribe for such patient\, except in a case of emergency when he shall communicate to the former explaining the circumstances under which the patient was seen and treatment given\, or when the practitioner has relinquished his case\, or when the patient has notified such practitioner to discontinue his services or unless the patient specifically refuses to go back to his original practitioner. When it becomes the duty of practitioner occupying an official position to see and report upon an illness or injury\, he shall communicate to the practitioner attending so as to give him an option for being present. Such practitioner shall avoid remarks upon the diagnosis or the treatment that has been adopted.\n23. Patient referred to specialists—\nWhen a patient is referred to a specialist by the attending practitioner\, a statement of the case shall be given to the specialist who shall communicate his opinion in writing in a closed cover direct to the attending practitioner. \nPART IV CODE OF ETHICS\n24. Advertising—\nSolicitation of patients directly or indirectly either personally or by advertisement in The newspaper\, by placards or by distribution of circular cards or hand bills by a practitioner of Indian medicine is unethical. A practitioner shall not make use of or aid or permit others to make use of him or his name and/or photograph as subject of any form or manner of advertising or publicity. This provision shall not apply to authors of purely medical literature written for the advancement of the profession and science.\n25. Nomenclature of qualification—\nIt shall be compulsory for a practitioner of Indian medicine to affix the correct degree or diploma before or after his name.\n26. Change of address and announcement relating thereto—\nA notice of change of address shall be intimated by every practitioner of Indian medicine to the concerned State Board or Council and the Control Council. A practitioner may issue a formal announcement in the Press one-insertion in one or more papers\, regarding the following:— (a) On starting practice; (b) On change of type of practice; (c) On change of address; (d) On temporary absence from duty; (e) On resumption of practice; (f) On succeeding to another practice.\n27. Payment for professional services—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall not enter into a contract of “No cure\, no payment”. \n28. Rebates and commission—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall not give\, solicit\, or receive nor shall he offer to give\, solicit or receive\, any gift\, gratuity\, commission or bonus in consideration of or in return for the referring\, recommending or procuring of any patient for medical\, surgical or other treatment. He shall not directly or by any subterfuge participate in or be a party to the act of division\, transference\, assignment\, subordination\, rebating\, splitting or refunding of any fee for medical\, surgical or other treatment.\n29. Evasion of legal restriction—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall observe the laws of the country in regulating the practice of medicine and shall not assist others to evade such laws.\n30. Professional certificates\, reports and other documents.—\n(1) A registered practitioner of Indian medicine is\, in certain cases\, bound by law to give or may be called upon or requested from time to time to give certificate\, notifications\, reports or similar documents signed by him in his professional capacity for subsequent use in the course of justice or for administrative purposes. (2) Such documents include among other certificate\, or reports:— (a) under the Acts relating to birth\, death or disposal of the dead; (b) under the Acts relating to Lunacy and mental deficiency and the rules made thereunder; (c) under the vaccination Acts and the regulations made thereunder; (d) under the Factory Acts and the regulations made thereunder; (e) under the Education Acts; (f) under the Public Health Acts and the orders made thereunder; (g) under the Workmen’s Compensation\, Act; (h) under the Acts and order relating to the notification of infectious diseases; (i) under the Employee’s State Insurance Act; (j) in connection with sick benefit insurance and friendly societies; (k) under the Merchant Shipping Act; (l) for procuring the issuing of passports;\n(m) for excusing attendance in courts of justice\, in public services\, in public offices or in ordinary employments; (n) in connection with rural and military matters; (o) In connection with matters under the control of ministry of the pensions. \n(3) Any practitioner of Indian medicine who shall be shown to have signed or given under his name and authority any such certificate\, notification\, report or similar document which is untrue\, misleading or improper is liable for professional misconduct or disciplinary action under the Act or under any law for the time being in force in any State regulating the registration of such practitioner\, to have his name removed from the Central Register of Indian Medicine and the provisions of section 27 shall apply.\n31. Register of medical certificate issued by practitioner—\nA practitioner of Indian medicine shall maintain a register of medical certificates giving full details of the certificates issued. When issuing a medical certificate\, he shall always enter the identification marks of the patient and keep a copy of the certificate. He shall not omit to obtain the signature or thumb mark\, address and identification marks of the patient on the medical certificates and on the copies kept by him. \nPART V DISCIPLINARY ACTION\n32. LIST\n(1) The Central Council desires to bring the notice of the practitioners of Indian Medicine the following list of offences which constitute professional misconduct and may warrant disciplinary action against them under the Act or under any law for the time being in force in any State regulating the registration of such practitioners.\n(i) Adultery or improper conduct or association with a patient. Any practitioner of Indian medicine who abuses his professional position by committing any adultery or improper conduct with a patient or by maintaining an improper association with a patient\, is liable for disciplinary action under the Act or under any law for the time being in force in any State regulating the registration of such practitioners;\n(ii) Any offices involving moral turpitude.\n(iii) If convicted under the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act\, 1940 or the rules made hereunder. (iv) if convicted for selling Scheduled poison to the Public under the cover of his own qualification except to his patient\, and in accordance with the provision of any law for time being in force\,\n(v) performing on enabling unqualified person to perform an abortion or any illegal operation for which there is no medical\, surgical or psychological indication;\n(vi) A practitioner of Indian medicine shall not issue certificates of efficiency in Indian Medicine to unqualified or non-medical person. (Note : The foregoing does not apply so as to restrict the proper training and instruction of bonafide students\, legitimate employees or practitioners\, midwives\, dispensers\, surgical attendants\, or skilled mechanical and technical assistants under the personal supervision of practitioners).\n(vii) It is improper for a practitioner of Indian medicine to use an unusually large sign board and write on it anything other than his name\, qualifications obtained from a University or a statutory body\, titles and name of his speciality. The same should be comes on his prescription papers. It is improper to affix a sign-board on a chemist’s shop or in places where he does not reside or work.\n(viii) Do not disclose the secrets of a patient that have been learnt in the exercise of the profession. Those may be disclosed only in a Court of Law under orders of the Presiding Judge.\n(ix) Refusing on religious grounds alone to give assistance in conduct of sterility\, birth control\, craniotomies on living children\, and therapeutic abortions when there is medical indication; unless the practitioner of Indian medicine feels himself incompetent to do so.\n(x) Before performing an operation the consent in writing shall be obtained; from\, the husband or wife\, parent or guardian in the case of a minor\, or the patient himself as the case may be. In an operation which may result in sterility the consent of both husband and wife is needed.\n(xi) The photographs or case reports of patients shall not be published in any medical or other journal in a manner by which their identity could be made out without their permission. Should the identity be not disclosed his consent is not needed.\n(xii) If a practitioner of Indian\, medicine is running a Nursing home and he employs assistants to help him the ultimate responsibility rests on such practitioner.\n(xiii) No practitioner of Indian medicine shall exhibit publically the scale of fees. But there is no objection to the same being put in the practitioners’ consulting or waiting room.\n(xiv) No practitioner of Indian medicine shall use touts or agents for procuring patients.\n(xv) Advertisement through hoarding and tour programmes shall be unethical. DESCRIPTION:അഷ്ടാംഗം ആയുർവേദ ചികിത്സാലയം & വിദ്യാപീഠത്തിൽ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര യോഗ ദിനം വിവിധ പരിപാടികളോടെ ആചരിച്ചു. മൂന്നുദിവസമായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച യോഗ ദിന പരിപാടി കോഴിക്കോട് പതഞ്ജലി യോഗ റിസർച്ച് സെൻറർ സ്ഥാപകൻ യോഗചാര്യ ഉണ്ണി രാമൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ മഹർഷി വിദ്യാലയം മാനേജർ ശ്രീ വിനയഗോപാൽജി യോഗ ഫോർ ഹ്യൂമാനിറ്റി എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽ മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. “എല്ലാവർക്കും യോഗ” എന്ന ആശയം മുൻനിർത്തി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച യോഗ ദിന പരിപാടികളിൽ അഷ്ടംഗം ജീവനക്കാർക്കായി “വൈ ബ്രേക്ക് പ്രോട്ടോകോൾ” എന്ന പേരിൽ യോഗാ പരിശീലനവും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളിലേക്ക് യോഗാദിനചര്യ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ചുറ്റുവട്ടത്തുള്ള വിവിധ സ്കൂളുകളിൽ യോഗ ക്ലാസുകളും യോഗ ദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. അഷ്ടാംഗം ക്യാമ്പസിൽ വച്ച് നടന്ന യോഗ ദിന പരിപാടിയിൽ പ്രൊഫസർ ശ്യാമള \, സ്വസ്ഥവൃത്തം വിഭാഗം വൈദ്യൻ സ്വാതി\, യോഗശ്രീ ശംഭു നമ്പൂതിരി എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

DESCRIPTION:“അഗ്ര്യ ഗണ്യരുടെ – അനുഗ്രഹീത ദിവസം”\n2022\, ഡിസംബർ രണ്ടാം തീയതി രാവിലെ ആറുമണി മുതൽ എട്ടു മണി വരെ അഷ്ടാംഗത്തിൽ അധ്യാപകരുടേയും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെയും സ ജീവസാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ നടന്ന ധന്വന്തരി ഹോമത്തോടെ ഈ ധന്യ ദിവസം ആരംഭിച്ചു.\nരവിലെ ഒമ്പതരക്ക് ഘോഷയാത്രയോടെ ആദ്യ ബാച്ച് വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ “സ്നാതകീയം” എന്ന ബിരുദ ദാന ചടങ്ങുകൾ തുടങ്ങി …\nപത്തു മണിക്ക് ബിരുദ ദാനം\n\n\nKUHS റെജിസ്ട്രർ ആയ ഡോ. മനോജ്‌കുമാർ സാർ ചരകത്തിലെ പ്രതിജ്ഞാ വാചകങ്ങൾ മലയാളത്തിൽ ചൊല്ലി കൊടുത്തു.\nഅവർ ഏറ്റു ചൊല്ലി …പിന്നീട് ..\n\n\nവിദ്യാർഥികളിൽ തുടങ്ങി രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ\, മാനേജ്‌മന്റ്\, അധ്യാപകർ\, അനധ്യാപകർ\, വാച്ച്മാൻ വരെ എല്ലാവരെയും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് ലളിതവും പ്രായോഗികവും അതിലേറെ ഹൃദയ സ്പര്ശിയുമായ പ്രഭാഷണം.\n\n\nഅമൃത ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ സയൻസിലെ മുൻ പ്രിൻസിപ്പാളായ ഡോ. ഡി എം വാസുദേവൻ സാർ കൃത്യസമയത്ത് തന്നെ എത്തി മുഴുവൻ സമയം നമ്മുടെ കൂടെ ചെലവഴിക്കുകയും അതിലേറെ വൈവിധ്യമായ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ വൈരുദ്ധ്യങ്ങളല്ല മറിച്ച് വൈവിധ്യങ്ങളാണ് ഉള്ളതെന്നും പരസ്പര പൂരകങ്ങളായി രോഗികേന്ദ്രീകൃതമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചാൽ ഒട്ടേറെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യാമെന്ന് വളരെ സ്നേഹപൂർവ്വം ഓർമ്മിച്ചു ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് പ്രഭാഷണം ചെയ്തത്.\nവൈവിധ്യങ്ങളായ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ രോഗിയെ മുൻനിർത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ നന്മയ്ക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കണമെന്നും ആധുനിക വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രമടക്കം ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഇത്തരത്തിലായിരുന്നു എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രത്യേകം പറയുകയുണ്ടായി.\nഈ രീതി മറ്റു ചില രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ എങ്ങനെ ഫലവത്തായി പ്രായോഗികമാക്കുന്നു എന്നത് ഉദാഹരണസഹിതം അദ്ദേഹം സദസിനെ ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.\n\n\nഔദ്യോഗികമായ ബിരുദധാന ചടങ്ങിനു ശേഷം പിന്നീട് നടന്നത് ഗുരുവന്ദനമായിരുന്നു.\nഗുരുവന്ദനത്തിന് സ്വാഗതം പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അഷ്ടാംഗം സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ ഉണ്ണിമങ്ങാട്ട് അവർകൾ അഷ്ടാംഗം എന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനം അതിൻറെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകളും അഞ്ചുവർഷമായി നടന്നിട്ടുള്ള അഷ്ടാംഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും മറ്റു സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായി അഷ്ടാംഗം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ നേട്ടങ്ങളെയും കുറഞ്ഞ സമയം കൊണ്ട് കൃത്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.\n\n\nഅധ്യക്ഷ പ്രസംഗം ചെയ്ത അഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ അഷ്ട വൈദ്യൻ ആലത്തിയൂർ നാരായണൻ നമ്പി \, പതിനായിരം മണിക്കൂർ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു വിഷയത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചാൽ ആ വിഷയത്തിൽ ആ വ്യക്തി അഗ്രഗണ്യനാവാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട് എന്നും അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ ഗുരുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ മാത്രമേ ഒരുവന് ആ അഗ്ര്യത്തേക്ക് എത്താൻ സാധിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ എന്നും ഓർമ്മപ്പെടുത്തി.\n\n\nഎല്ലാ ഗുരുക്കന്മാരുടെയും അനുഗ്രഹം ഈ നൂതന വൈദ്യൻമാർക്ക് ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.\nഗുരുവന്ദനം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തത് കോട്ടയ്ക്കൽ ആര്യവൈദ്യശാല മാനേജിംഗ് ട്രസ്റ്റി ശ്രീ പി എം വാര്യർ അവർകളാണ്.\nലോകം മുഴുവൻ പടർന്നുപന്തലിച്ച് കിടക്കുന്ന ആയുർവേദത്തിന്റെ സാധ്യതകളെയും അതിൻറെ കാലിക പ്രസക്തിയെയും കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം സംസാരിച്ചു.\nവളരെ പ്രമുഖരായ നാല് മഹദ് വ്യക്തിത്വങ്ങളെ ദക്ഷിണ നൽകി നമസ്കരിച്ച് എല്ലാ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനികളും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.\n\n\n(അഷ്ടവൈദ്യ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മുതിർന്ന അംഗമായ തൈക്കാട് ദിവാകരൻ മൂസ്സ്‌)\n(അഷ്ടാംഗം ചെയർമാനും ബാല ചികിത്സ കുലപതി ശ്രീ ഗംഗാധരൻ വൈദ്യർ)\n(ലോക പ്രശസ്തവും മലയാളികളുടെ സ്വകാര്യ അഭിമാനവുമായ കോട്ടക്കൽ ആര്യ വൈദ്യ ശാല മാനേജിങ് ട്രസ്റ്റീ ശ്രീ പി എം വാരിയർ)\n(വാഗ്ഭടൻ ഉറങ്ങുന്ന മണ്ണിൽ നിന്ന് അഷ്ടവൈദ്യൻ പുലാമന്തോൾ ശങ്കരൻ മൂസ്സ്‌)\nഅഷ്ടാംഗഹൃദയം തുടർച്ചയായി പഠിക്കണമെന്ന് ഉപദേശിച്ച് അതിനുവേണ്ട അഷ്ടാംഗഹൃദയം എന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥം ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും നൽകി ഈ ഗുരുക്കന്മാർ ആ നിമിഷത്തെ ധന്യമാക്കി.\nഅതിനുശേഷം അഷ്ടാംഗം സ്ഥാപക പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ഡോക്ടർ പ്രസാദ് സദസ്സിനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിച്ചു.\nകഠോപനിഷത്തിലെ നചികേതസിന്റെ കഥ പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടും ഹരിനാമകീർത്തനത്തിലെ വരികൾ പാടിക്കൊണ്ടും ഓരോരുത്തരും ജീവിതം ധന്യമാക്കണമെന്നും അഹന്തലവലേശം ഇല്ലാതെ അറിവിനായി കൊണ്ട് നിരന്തരം ശ്രമിക്കണമെന്നും ഓർമ്മപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് ചിന്തോദ്വീപകമായ അനുഗ്രഹ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി.\n\n\nഅതിനുശേഷം സംസാരിച്ചത് അഷ്ടാംഗം മാനേജിങ് ട്രസ്റ്റി ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ കാണിപ്പയ്യൂർ നാരായണൻ നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട് അവർകളാണ്.\nജീവിതത്തിൻറെ ഉന്നമനത്തിന് സൂര്യചന്ദ്രാദി ഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെയും ഗുരു കാരണവന്മാരുടെയും അനുഗ്രഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രസക്തിയെക്കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം അനുഗ്രഹപ്രഭാഷണത്തിൽ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു.\nഅതിനുശേഷം എല്ലാ അധ്യാപകരും ചേർന്ന് നടത്തിയ പല പരീക്ഷകളിൽ നിന്നും ഈ വർഷത്തെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും അതിനർഹമായ ഡോക്ടർ ജോയൽ ജോയിക്ക് പാരിതോഷികങ്ങൾ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു.\n\n\nഅതിനുശേഷം ഡോക്ടർ ജോയൽ മറുപടി പ്രസംഗം ചെയ്തു.\nപിന്നീട് അഷ്ടാംഗം ആയുർവേദ ചികിത്സാലയം മെഡിക്കൽ സൂപ്രണ്ട് ആയ ഡോക്ടർ പുരുഷോത്തമൻ വന്നുചേർന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.\n\n\nഅഷ്ടാഗം വൈസ് ചെയർമാൻ കോട്ടക്കൽ ഗോപി ആശാൻ\, ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ കാണിപയ്യൂർ കൃഷ്ണൻ നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട്\, ട്രസ്റ്റ് അംഗങ്ങൾ\, ഹോണററി ഡയറക്ടർമാരായ അഷ്ട വൈദ്യൻ രവി മൂസ്സ്‌\, ഡോക്ടർ വിനോദ് കൃഷ്ണൻ\, ഡോക്ടർ ദേവൻ നമ്പൂതിരി\, ഡോക്ടർ അപർണ പൂമുള്ളി\, യോഗ ശ്രീ ശംഭു നമ്പൂതിരി\, ഡോക്ടർ കാണിപ്പയ്യൂർ അജിത്ത് നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട്\, തുടങ്ങിയവരുടെ മഹനീയ സാന്നിധ്യവും പരിപാടിക്ക് മിഴിവേകി.\nഅഷ്ടാംഗത്തിലെ മുൻകാല അധ്യാപകരും ഇതിൽ ഭാഗഭാക്കായി.\nഅങ്ങനെ രാവിലെ ഒമ്പതരയ്ക്ക് ആരംഭിച്ച രണ്ടു മണിയോടുകൂടി സമാപനം കുറിച്ച ഈ ഔദ്യോഗിക പരിപാടി ധന്യമായി പര്യവസാനിച്ചു.\n\n\nവൈകുന്നേരങ്ങളിൽ നിരവധി കലാപരിപാടികൾ നടന്നു.\nവിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെയും അധ്യാപകരുടെയും എല്ലാം കലാ പരിപാടികളും ആഘോഷങ്ങളും ആർത്താടലുകളും ഏറെ വൈകിയെങ്കിലും ശുഭമായി പര്യവസാനിച്ചു …\nപിന്നിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച എല്ലാവർക്കും അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ \nഅനുമോദനങ്ങൾ \nഅനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ

DESCRIPTION:അഷ്ടാംഗം ആയുർവ്വേദ ചികിത്സാലയം വിദ്യാപീഠത്തിൽ ആയുർവ്വേദ ദിനം വിവിധ പരിപാടികളോടെ ആഘോഷിച്ചു. \nഒരാഴ്ച്ച നീണ്ടു നിന്ന ആഘോഷ പരിപാടികൾ പൊതുസമ്മേളനത്തോടു കൂടിയാണ് സമാപിച്ചത്. ആയുർവ്വേദ ദിനം ഷൊർണ്ണൂർ MLA ശ്രീ.പി. മമ്മിക്കുട്ടി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. അഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ ഡോക്ടർ. ആലത്തിയൂർ നാരായണൻ നമ്പി അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ അഷ്ടാംഗം അയുർവ്വേദ ചികിത്സാലയം വിദ്യാപീഠം ട്രസ്റ്റ് ചെയർമാൻ ഗംഗാധരൻ വൈദ്യർ മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. തുടർന്ന് സുകൃതം ആയുർവ്വേദ ചികിത്സാലയത്തിലെ മുതിർന്ന ആയുർവ്വേദ ഡോക്ടറായ ആര്യദേവിയെ പൊന്നാട അണിയിച്ച് ആദരിച്ചു. അഷ്ടാംഗം കോളേജ് വൈസ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ ഡോ. രമ്യ \, ട്രസ്റ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ഉണ്ണി മങ്ങാട്ട് PTA പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീപതി .പി \, സ്റ്റാഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി പ്രകാശൻ ഹൗസ് സർജൻസ് അസ്സോസിയേഷൻ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ഡോ.ജോയൽ.എൽ. ജോയ് \, പട്ടാമ്പി റോട്ടറി ക്ലബ്ബ് മെമ്പർ വേലേരി മഠം മുരളിധരൻ \, സ്റ്റുഡൻറ് യൂണിയൻ ചെയർ പേഴ്സൺ രേഷ്മാ ലക്ഷ്മി\, ഡോ. ശ്രീദേവി എസ് എന്നിവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു.\nആയുർവേദ ദിനാഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി ക്യാമ്പസ്സിൽ നടത്തിയ വിവിധ കലാ കായിക മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ വിജയിച്ചവർക്ക് ചടങ്ങിൽ സമ്മാനം വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.
