The sessions offered practical insights into natural healing methods and were well received by the participants.\nA vibrant Food Fest\, conducted by the 2023 batch students with great enthusiasm\, added a lively experiential dimension to the event. The fest showcased 20 varieties of nature-cure dishes\, including fresh mango-based salads\, whole-wheat bread items\, nutritious smoothies\, herbal teas\, refreshing mojitos\, and healthy nut laddoos. This initiative beautifully reinforced the concept of food as medicine and encouraged mindful\, natural eating practices.\nOverall\, the programme successfully blended knowledge with experience\, inspiring participants to embrace naturopathy as a sustainable and holistic way of life.

Within this vibrant structure\, students competed across 27 onstage events spanning diverse art forms and 14 literary and offstage events\, showcasing talent\, intellect\, and teamwork. DESCRIPTION:Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam and Vidyapeedham\, Palakkad\, has been selected under the prestigious Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)\, a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at connecting higher educational institutions with rural communities for sustainable and inclusive development.\nUnnat Bharat Abhiyan envisions the holistic development of villages by leveraging the knowledge\, expertise\, and human resources of academic institutions. In alignment with this vision\, our institution has adopted five villages—Nagalassery\, Pattithara\, Kappur\, Chalissery\, and Thirumittacode—and has been actively involved in understanding their health and lifestyle needs through extensive community-based surveys.\nOur initiatives are closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being\, with a strong focus on preventive healthcare\, lifestyle modification\, and long-term wellness through Ayurveda.\nAs part of these efforts\, we recently conducted the Arogya Mitra Abhiyan – Jeevaneeya\, a unique community outreach program that involved adopting individual families and providing them with personalized health counselling. The programme emphasized comprehensive healthcare based on Ayurvedic principles\, guidance on healthy daily routines\, dietary practices\, and motivation to adopt an Ayurvedic way of living for longevity and disease prevention. The program was done in ward 5 of Nagalassery panchayat.\nThrough these initiatives\, Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam and Vidyapeedham continues its commitment to community health\, sustainable rural development\, and the integration of traditional wisdom with public health goals.

DESCRIPTION:Ashtamgam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital observed World Meditation Day 2025 on 23rd December 2025 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Prashanti Hall\, embracing the theme “Inner Peace\, Global Harmony.”\nThe programme opened with a prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Yogasree Shambu Namboothiri\, Honorary Physician\, Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam\, delivered the welcome address\, followed by the presidential address by Shri Unni Manghat\, Secretary\, Ashtamgam Educational Trust\, who reflected on meditation as a pathway to emotional balance and social harmony.\nThe event was inaugurated by Rajayogi B K Raveendran Bai\, who guided the audience through a deeply reflective meditation session\, complemented by a presentation on freedom from fear through inner awareness. The session gently led participants inward\, encouraging self-realisation\, mental clarity\, and inner strength. The Brahma Kumaris style of meditation\, with its emphasis on soul-consciousness\, silent reflection\, and thought empowerment\, offered a simple yet profound method to experience peace without physical strain or ritual.\nThe students were visibly moved and overwhelmed by the meditative experience\, as the hall resonated with silence\, stillness\, and collective calm. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Dhanya C P\, Professor & Head\, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga\, AAMC.\nThe observance stood as a serene reminder that true harmony in the world begins with fearless awareness and peace within.

SUMMARY:CM MEGA QUIZ
DESCRIPTION:Vijnana Yatra – Chief Minister’s Mega Quiz\, a State-wide knowledge initiative\, was launched on January 12\, 2026. It is organised by the Information Public Relations Department (IPRD) in collaboration with the General Education and Higher Education departments. In the school category (Classes VIII to XII)\, the first-prize winner will receive ₹5 lakh\, while the second and third-place winners will receive ₹3 lakh and ₹2 lakh respectively. In the college and university category\, the first prize is set at ₹3 lakh\, followed by ₹2 lakh for second place and ₹1 lakh for third place. The quiz will follow a multi-tier structure to ensure participation from every corner of the State. In the college category\, competitions will progress through college\, district\, and State levels.  \nThe CM MEGA QUIZ-  college level was conducted on January 12\, 2026. The following students were selected from college level competition and got eligibility to participate in district level  \nFirst – Amritha N\,\nSecond – Fiza Fathima Sidhik\,\nThird – Adithya Balachandran\,\nFourth – Anaswara Sekhar KTK.

SUMMARY:വൃക്ഷായൂർവ്വേദ - നാഷണൽ സെമിനാർ
DESCRIPTION:The One Day National Seminar on Vrikshayurveda titled “Vrikshabodhini” was conducted on 2nd\nApril 2026\, as a part of auspicious occasion of VRIKSHAYURVEDA CERTIFICATE COURSE launch at\nAshtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam Evum Vidyapeedam\, Vavanoor\, in association with Kerala Jaiva\nSamrakshana Samithi. The programme began with lighting of the lamp followed by the Welcome\nAddress by Sri. Unnikrishnan Mangat and Presidential Address by Ashtavaidyan Alathiyoor\nNarayanan Nambi. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Mala Kapadia\, Director\, Anaadi Centre for\nIndigenous Knowledge Systems\, Anaadi Foundation. The Course Launch was conducted by Dr.\nNagabhushanam G\, followed by felicitations from Sri. Rajeev Kangath from Kerala Jaiva Samrakshana\nSamithi and Dr. J. Thomas\, Director of Research (Rtd)\, Spices Board and Former Rubber Production\nCommissioner.\nScientific sessions were handled by eminent speakers including Prof. Mala Kapadia\, P. G.\nKrishnakumar\, Dr. C. K. Peethambaran\, Dr. Ajayan Sadanandan\, and Dr. Pavithra Kandavel\,\nhighlighting the importance of Vrikshayurveda in sustainable agriculture and global health. The\nprogramme concluded with the valedictory session\, certificate distribution\, and visit to the\ndemonstration plot where participants planted vegetable plantlets. The seminar was informative\nand successful\, promoting practical awareness of Vrikshayurveda principles.
