Admission Policy
Admission is strictly based on Merit. 85% of the total seats for the BAMS course will be from the central allotment as prescribed by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala. The remaining 15% of seats will be reserved as NRI seats which will be allotted to children and dependants of NRIs. The admission to NRI seats will be as per the rules prevailing in this regard from time to time. All admissions will be made based on the specifications notified by the NCISM in its regulations for UG Ayurveda education.
Admission Procedure
As per admission announcement in KISMA website – www.kisma.co.in, College website www.ashtamgamvidya.edu.in and College Notice Board, prescribed applications will be received online. Fill the application form and submit to Principal, Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam & Vidyapeedham, Thekke Vavanoor Post, Koottanad, Palakkad Dist – 679 533. Admission rank list will be prepared according to percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination . Those who are qualified and willing to pay the prescribed fees will be admitted considering the college rank list. Schedule of calendar for admission and fees details are given under respective headings of this prospectus. General guide lines, Hostel rules, Campus disciplines etc. are given in the Students’ Manual issued to each student at the time of admission.

NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION TO NRI SEATS IN BAMS COURSE FOR 2023-24 ACADEMIC YEAR
Online applications, in the format specified available in https://ashtamgamvidya.edu.in/admissions/applications/, are invited for admission in the nine vacant NRI Seats for UG (BAMS) Course at Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam & Vidyapeedham from candidates who have passed Plus II with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together and minimum 50% marks in Biology separately as well as qualified in the NEET (2023-24). Applicants shall furnish scanned copies of their NEET Score Card, Plus II mark sheet and Pass certificate & Age Proof along with the application. Embassy attested copies of the Passport, Visa and sworn affidavit notarised by any of the notary public in a stamp paper worth Rs. 200/-. In case the sponsor is abroad, the sponsor has to submit the sworn affidavit notarised by the Notary Public, as per the rules and regulations prevailing in the respective countries, where the sponsor is presently working along with the Certificate from the Village Officer in support of the relation of the Sponsor with the applicant as specified and as per the directives issued by AFRC in compliance of the Honourable High Court Order that the sponsor shall declare that the student is dependent of the sponsor for the course of study. The declaration of the Sponsor to the above effect shall also be furnished by the applicants. Last date of receipt of applications online shall be 6 PM on 18-09-2023. The list of applicants will be published in our Website and Notice Board on 19-09-2023 (after 5 PM). The Rank List of the eligible candidates for admission to NRI Seats as per the said norms will be published in our website on 22-09-2023 and will be intimated to the eligible candidates over phone/mobile/e-mail, as the case may be. Admissions to the available NRI Seats will be made from 22-09-2023 to 24-09-2023. The Tuition Fee is RS. 3,00,000/- annually, for five years and the Special Fee for 1st year is RS.82406/- and the next four years @ RS. 58244/-, annually.

Online applications, in the format specified available in http://www.ashtamgam.in/admissions/applications/, are invited for admission in the Eight vacant management seats for UG (BAMS) Course at Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam & Vidyapeedham from candidates who have passed Plus II with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together and minimum 50% marks in Biology separately as well as qualified in the NEET (2023-24). Applicants shall furnish scanned copies of their NEET Score Card, Plus II mark sheet and Pass certificate & Age Proof along with the application. Last date of receipt of applications online shall be 5 PM on 17-10-2023. The Rank List of the eligible candidates for admission (provisional) to Management Seats as per the said norms will be published in our website on 18-10-2023 and will be intimated to the eligible candidates over phone/mobile/e-mail, as the case may be. Final rank list will publish in web site & notice board on 21.10.2023. Admissions to the available Management Seats will be made on 26-10-2023 till 5.00PM. The Tuition Fee is RS. 199415/- annually, for five years and the Special Fee for 1st year is Rs.82406/- and the next four years @ RS. 58244/-, annually.

Courses Offered
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS): Ayurvedacharya. Our BAMS course is conducted as per the UG regulations of National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. The course period is 5 ½ years, which is divided into 3 professional segments and a period of compulsory internship.
